Malta tours A new approach to learningThe scope of this initiative is to allow students to explore for themselves the culture wealth of the cities of Malta, namely Birgu and Valletta. This new innovative approach creates a stimulating learning environment. The younger generations, our students are tomorrow's leaders and care-takers of our national patrimony.
If we acknowledge this perspective we acknowledge the potential benefits that can be accrued from such initiative. This new innovative approach, encourage students and parents' interactivitely. Students and their parents are invited to experience the wealth of history our cities has to offer. This innovative approach allows students to use their own gadgets, mp3 players, mobile etc to learn the history of the cities. The point of education should not be to inculcate a body of knowledge, but to develop capabilities and therefore this fits exactly with the scope of its purpose.
 The second part complements the first part as it relates to a mini-walking tour. Eventually, each student would then be given an MP3 player and be electronically guided, not missing any thing that triggers interest.
The education department had provided its support from the initial stages of the project and had issued a circulation letter to encourage school administrations and cultural committees to use the services to the benefit of our young students and their parents.
